This is to certify this Hasselblad 70mm Film Magazine bears NASA serial number 5021, and Hasselblad serial number RC 381285. It was flown on Space Shuttle Discovery, and Columbia. The missions listed below are among it’s flights. There likely have been others not documented.The Film Magazine is as it was flown on it’s final mission.
This Film Magazine was manufactured by Hasselblad of Gothenburg Sweden in 1985. Normally seated on the top of the magazine was a Hasselblad Data Module. The Data Module Assembly printed 32 alphanumeric characters along the edge of each 70mm film frame at the time of exposure, indicating the date, time, film roll number, frame number, and Space Shuttle mission number.
The 8x10 color prints shown with this Film Magazine were taken from Earth Observation images recorded on film flown within the magazine on one or more of the listed missions below.
Flown on Columbia STS-78 film roll #750, Discovery STS-82 film roll #721, Discovery STS-91 film roll #709, Discovery STS-95 film roll #709, and Discovery STS-103 film roll #770. The film roll number has been changed from #770 to #723.leaving the possibility of another unknown flight.
The original NASA parts bag, JSC parts tag, along with disposal and inventory labels are included. Each bear the part and serial numbers consistent with this 70mm Film Magazine.
