Lumiquest Diffuser Assembly

Special Price $175.00

Availability: In Stock

Used with the Kodak Digital DCS460/660/760 Space Cameras

This Lumiquest Diffuser Assembly was probably flown in space during the Space Shuttle Program. The Diffuser is Class 1 Flight Hardware NASA PART # SED33104380-301. NASA purchased about 11 of these off the shelf flash diffusers, only adding the strips of blue Velcro and a parts ID label.

One Diffuser Assembly was flown on each Space Shuttle flight from about STS-76 to about STS-113 including MIR & ISS missions. These diffusers were used exclusively on NASA digital cameras, Kodak DCS 460, DCS 660 & DCS 760 and attached to the Nikon Flashes used on these cameras.

The blue Velcro on the diffuser is used to secure the diffuser to the Nikon Flash during Space Flights (Nikon flash pictured is not included in auction).

A NASA Parts ID label is affixed to the back of the diffuser.

The diffuser is fully functional and in excellent condition. There is no flight history for this diffuser, but given it’s Class I flight status it’s likely to have been used on one or more Space Flights. The diffuser comes with the NASA polybag shown.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
