This Sleeping Bag was likely flown in space numerous times during the Space Shuttle Program. The Sleeping Bag is Class I flight hardware. The NASA Part ID #V669-002000-018 2D628 s/n HO15035.
These Sleeping Bags were first flown on the Space Shuttle around STS-70, and continued to the end of the program. These green Sleeping Bags replaced the original blue Sleep Restraints that were first flown on STS-1. They weight 4 pounds 11 ounces. Material is believed to be Dacron. Crew members have the option of adding a foam pillow, or Pallet (hard board) if desired. Pillow, minus foam, is also available on this site. A Velcro strip on the outside top right side is used to attached a color coded Velcro strip for crew member identification.
There is no flight history for this Sleeping Bag. Purchased as NASA surplus. Condition of Sleeping Bag is very good.
